To commemorate two decades since its release, the makers have digitally restored the film and plan to screen it in select theatres across India starting next month. Speaking about the re-release, Vidya Balan shared her excitement: “Parineeta was my dream debut. It gave me everything – love, respect, and a place in people’s hearts. I’m thrilled it’s coming back to theatres for a new generation to experience.”
